From concept to final finishes, Bordelle only works with manufactures who share their values. Their delicious and provocative aesthetic was created by Alexandra Popa, who wanted to build a brand that has a flavor of high fashion and seduction. You can have your dessert and eat it too.
Bordelle SS19 collection was inspired by the secession movement and the architecture of Vienna. Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Otto Wagner and Koloman Moser have played large parts in the inspiration of the collection, gold leaf decorate models arranged in architectural poses. The Sisi bras, undies and garters marries the sleek and clean energy from Palm house in Vienna with the ornate styles of art nouveau. This Swiss embroidered tulle (designed in house by Bordelle,) now comes in platinum. The Sisi lace are both delicate and luxurious.
The inspiration behind the Sisi photoshoot was built on the work of the incredible artist Gustav Klimt, the most prominent member of the Vienna Succession movement. The set was styled around Klimt’s ‘Golden Phase’, renowned for its luxurious use of gold leaf. Decadent lighting and the use of Gold draping creates the illusion of a painted canvas.
