Embrace: A Body Appreciation Work/Shop for Mothers and Daughters

Join us for an afternoon of activities to learn how to reframe our thoughts about our bodies to ones of appreciation & compassion rather than comparison and critique. We will explore these concepts in a safe space with a community of young and mature women. Our desire is to help women love themselves and love each other.

Maggie founded two businesses in electronic music; a u x e t i c that gave equal opportunity to young men and women as resident artists and Girls Gone Vinyl with a strict focus on women, creating opportunities and raising awareness for women across the globe. MEG SAFFORD NISHIBORI // FOUNDER: WELLNESS AS ONE

Megan Safford Nishibori has Masters Degrees in Multicultural Education from UMASS Amherst and Clinical Psychology/specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Dominican University, a B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology from University of Rochester and has been involved in the field of counseling and psychotherapy since 2008. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a parent of two children, partner, owner of Wellness As One LLC, Neora Brand Partner, former high school educator of 8 years, Zen Awareness Practitioner and student for over 15 yrs, Recording and Listening Trainer and parent volunteer at her children's school that is focused on supporting gifted children. Over the years Megan has found professionally and personally that looking at the process and direct experience of wellness while using content such as parenting, best supports for the body, anxiety/depression, giftedness, etc. has been the most informative and helpful way to address different issues we all face individually and collectively.

CARLIE QUEZADA // OWNER - SUPERNATURAL LINGERIE

Inspired by her love of lingerie and innovative design, Carlie Quezada founded Supernatural as a space for celebration of femininity and self appreciation. The curation of the shop emphasizes modern design, ethical production and individualistic style. Quezada’s professional background spans from the world of contemporary art to creative production & project management both at large corporations and small, independent design firms.
