Friday
As guests and patrons returned from the sun soaked rooftop of the ever whimsical Petit Ermitage after a day of floating and lounging atop the West Hollywood hills, they got a peek into the ephemeral boudoir taking shape in the Wiggle Room.
Among the opulent, velvet covered walls and luscious seating banks, gold leaf torsos adorned with jewel, serpent, and celestial embroideries sparkled and lured. Chilled champagne and friendly faces were ready to welcome visitors to a truly special and personalized shopping experience.
The space had a disarming effect, with shoppers immediately feeling as comfortable as if they were in their cool big sister’s closet playing dress up. Bonds, if only for a few brief moments, were formed as one woman tried on while another affirmed her beauty and style. All the while, the Supernatural team wove into the experience making size and fit adjustments to ensure that visitors found the perfect fit.
Saturday
As the daytime pool scene began to wind down, the Supernatural scene began to heat up. Guests visited in the late afternoon to put together looks for the rooftop party later that evening, and to experience the transformational power of exceptional intimates that they’d heard all about from the night before.
As the evening went on, the environment became more and more interactive. A shibari master and performer demonstrated advanced bondage rope tying in the trunk show space, including suspension techniques. On the rooftop, another shibari master demonstrated more introductory knots on a model for the curious, as well as directly on interested guests.
Adding another playful element, lingerie-clad models passed out our version of a naughty Mad Lib game, giving guests the opportunity to not only win a gift card to Supernatural, but also engage in some mischievous amusement.
The whole mood was set by the otherworldly string melodies of Axon Orkestra, with spontaneous dances taking place wherever the band roamed. An angelic mermaid danced in the water with yards of red chiffon trailing her every aquatic gesture. Bouquets of gigantic roses, a trail of petals, and a thick mist hovering around the pool, all enhanced the dreamy vibe of the evening.
